This beautifully-decorated fourth floor apartment has a wonderful view over the Paris rooftops but enjoys almost no noise from the streets below, even though its situation makes it ideal for exploring the Left Bank.
If you're looking to stay in Paris, apartments in the 6th arrondissement are highly sought after - it's the most expensive area in the city, after all.
Unlike the river-front apartment that is also in the 6th arrondissement, this apartment is in a much quieter location, just a block or two from the beautiful and spacious Jardin du Luxembourg.
These gardens are very popular with both Parisians and tourists, and they are a wonderful place to sit down and relax when your feet get a bit tired and you just want to watch the world go by.
And if you're wandering around the western part of the gardens and you think your eyes are playing tricks on you, then you can rest assured that they're not - yes, that really is a miniature version of the famous Statue Of Liberty!
It was actually the original model of the massive one in New York created by Bartholdi and donated by the French government. (There is a second Statue Of Liberty in Paris too - donated by the Americans to France, and situated on the Allée des Cygnes on the River Seine.)
For those with an interest in religious buildings, then the church of Saint Sulpice and the Panthéon are both a short walk away, as is Notre Dame cathedral if you head down to the river.
On your way, you'll cross the famous Boulevard Saint-Germain, where you'll find all sorts of fashionable shops, but one little back alley worth a look is the quaint Cour du Commerce Saint-André, near the Place Odéon.
Another very well-known store, also within walking distance, is Le Bon Marché on the Rue de Sèvres (which also has a very passable self-service restaurant).
Being on the Left Bank, then you're actually really spoilt for choice when it comes to eating, and probably our two favourite restaurants in all of Paris are both walkable from your apartment.
Firstly, there is the Crêperie de Josselin in Rue du Montparnasse, where you'll find a bewildering array of savoury pancakes (known as galettes), filled with all sort of things, as well as the traditional sweet pancakes for dessert (filled and/or flambéed), and you must also try the Bréton cider to wash them down with - it's nothing like the cider you're probably used to.
(The Tour Montparnasse is also worth a visit - it's mainly an office building, but you can get the elevator to the top floor and then go out on the viewing platform on the roof for the best view of Paris.)
Secondly, there is a restaurant called L'Ecurie, on Rue Laplace, that looks like it's been there for hundreds of years!
It's very small, although there is limited pavement seating, but the atmosphere is great, as is the food, and the staff are very friendly and helpful - nothing at all like the stereotypical French waiter (whom you must never call "garcon" if you ever want to be served - "monsieur" is the accepted term).
While there is a lot to do in the 6th arrondissement and, more generally, on the Left Bank, you will want to travel to other parts of the city, which has so much to offer, so you'll find Metro stations Rennes, Saint-Placide and Notre-Dame-Des-Champs just a short walk away, or, if you want to go to Trocadéro to see the Eiffel Tower, then you can catch the 63 bus too, which takes you on a largely-riverside scenic ride.
So, if you want a quiet location in one of the most elegant areas of the city, then your Paris apartment search is over - this beautiful apartment will become your favourite home away from home.
