This apartment is situated in one of the liveliest areas of Paris - the Place du Tertre, with the dome of the magnificent Basilica of Sacré Coeur visible over the rooftops on the other side of the square.
If you're looking for somewhere with a very lively atmosphere, in one of the most historic parts of Paris, then this is the one for you.
The apartment itself is located on the Butte Montmartre, which is the highest point in Paris, and it directly overlooks the famous Place du Tertre, home to scores of artists, painting scenic views of Paris - or even your portrait (for a price, of course).
You'll often find street artists, such as organ grinders, there too, to liven things up even further.
The entire Montmartre area has long been a haunt of artists, and a block or so away, you'll find the Musée de Montmartre, which is now a museum dedicated to the culture and history of the Butte, but which has, in its time, housed painters such as Utrillo, van Gogh and Renoir.
Just around the corner too is the Espace Dali, dedicated to the works of the renowned Surrealist, Salvador Dali.
If you're looking for somewhere to eat or drink, then round the square are many bars and restaurants, with perhaps the most well-known being La Mère Catherine, on the north side, which has been there for over 200 years. You may pay a little more for things here, but where else in Paris can you get the atmosphere of the Place du Tertre?
But the most famous landmark, which you can see from your apartment window and which is no more than five minutes' walk, is la Basilique du Sacré-Coeur, sitting proudly on top of the Butte and visible from almost all of the city.
The views over Paris from the front of the Sacré Coeur are not to be missed, but if you want an even better view, go for the Rooftop Tour - the entrance is along the left side of the Basilica, and the tour takes you up over the roof to the dome itself, where you can also see down into the Sacre Coeur interior.
If it's entertainment you want, then the acclaimed Moulin Rouge is in walking distance, as is one of the oldest cabarets in Paris - the Lapin Agile.
For food, you can try the historic Moulin de la Galette, one of the last surviving windmills on the Butte, and painted by many artists, including Renoir and Toulouse-Lautrec.
Being high up on the Butte, you won't find too many Metro stations up there, so the best way to travel to the rest of Paris is to take the Sacré Coeur funicular down the hill (and you'll really appreciate this on the way back to your apartment after walking around Paris all day!), and then you'll find a station called Anvers just two or three blocks away.
However, if you want to see more of the Montmartre area on your way up and down, try the Montmartrobus, which starts at Place Pigalle and goes up to Sacré Coeur and back, travelling along the steep and narrow winding streets of the Butte.
So, if you're looking for a really unique apartment with a stunning view in a historic area of Paris, then we highly recommend this one.
